Bristol24/7 is the South West's largest independent media organisation with more than 300,000 monthly online readers and 20,000 copies of their magazine is distributed across the city every month.

BRIEF

To re-brand Bristol24/7’s social impact work and launch a membership that allows readers to support the independent media platform, its social projects, and help make the organisation financially stable.

ACTION

I worked with the team to launch Better Bristol, a sub-brand of the well-known platform, introducing the concept to readers at large-scale events and through online video content shared across their social channels.

I project managed the development of the members' online area, leading on the UX & user journey and integrating relevant platforms and services.

I managed all membership marketing through the magazine, social media content, email marketing, member perks and events, partnerships and PPC. I introduced the use of Instagram Stories as an effective community building and marketing channel and set up Google Analytics to track conversions, using data-led insights to optimise conversion rates.

  • Instagram followers doubled, making it their fastest growing channel

  • More than 4k people actively using the members’ portal

  • Almost 150k revenue generated through membership in first two years

  • More than £10k funding brought in to run social impact projects
