The Pitch is one of the UK’s largest competitions for startups, supporting founders and entrepreneurs to create a kick-ass pitch and connecting them with investors.

BRIEF

To provide thousands of founders and entrepreneurs with access to the support, advice, and investment they need to take their businesses from Lightbulb to Launchpad.

To work with The Pitch partners to increase awareness for their brands and connect them with startups.

ACTION

The Pitch team approached me at the beginning of their 2022 campaign, just after they had been through a rebranding process. They were looking for a fresh approach to marketing their annual pitching competition for startups, and getting more visibility for their partners, including Sage and Crowdcube.

By creating a series of new content templates and ideas using the new branding, I was able to implement a fun and engaging social media plan that optimized on opportunities for driving traffic and sign ups to the competition.

The fresh approach allowed for partner content to be shared multiple times in a variety of formats to give them and their content maximum visibility across our platforms.

Traditionally the campaign had focused on longer video content shared just on YouTube. In this campaign we introduced shorter video content with easy-to-follow hints, tips, and advice from our investor and founder community.

We also launched the new Side Hustle competition just for people running their businesses on the side.
